JD 3010 Hydraulic Pumpl Replacement

I have a JD 3010 Diesel and the hydraulics dont work at all.....where do I start? Filters or screens?

FIRST thing is to make sure the front/main pump is actually turning.

Sometimes the splines strip in the coupling that clamps to the pump shaft.

At this point, having a FACTORY shop manual with it's detailed troubleshooting instructions is a great help.

Short version, check for transmission oil pump flow (flows forward to the oil cooler, and feeds the main pump.

If good flow, problem is in main pump.

If little or no oil flow from transmission pump, could be a clogged suction screen, or a failed pump. Believe pumps occasionally get whacked when the differential fails and the pin comes out and whacks the pump.
