JD #34 Manure Spreader

Have another question. With the control all the way bank, the scraper bar don't move, but the drum turns. when I move the control up one notch the drums stops turning and the scraper bar start moving back the load. If I move it all the way forward, the only thing that moves is the scraper bar. Not sure why the drum stops.

Some spreaders have a clean out setting where the beater stops turning but the apron chain moves to push any material out. Supposed to help with minimizing the apron freezing to the deck in cold temps.
