I am thinking of purchasing a 3 point backhoe attachment to put on my 4020. It is a fairly stout hoe, a Koyker KB 800. Any experiences out there with using a 3 point mounted backhoe on a 4020? I have 2 sets of remotes, but I hear should only need to use one of them. Thanks!

Be careful! I had a neighbor that put one of these on his 4010 and it sets in a pile today with the back of the transmission case busted out from under rockshaft where it pulled the center link mounting from case. One them jobs I supposed to look at when I get free time. I don't have any free time anymore! A nice old 4010 but a gas. Take more than it worth to change out transmission case. Need a donor or better yet make it the donor. Good hoods and sheet metal, wheels hydraulic. E
Engine can go to the junk with the transmission case.

Yes 4020 would be a bit lightly built for this. The 500 b is an industrial 3010 but it is way heavier in back no rock shaft fairly massive steel plates that it mounts to. We had one on the back of the 4440 before we had that and it worked fine but that’s a bit beefier too

I agree, best and probably cheaper is to get a deere 300 backhoe unit withtve frame and adapt it on the 4020.
They can be made to.be easily removable.
Myself,i have an old Poclain 81 tracks excavator and would not mess with a backhoe.
