JD 4020 Front End Loader Identification

My 4020 diesel (1969 later model) tractor has a nice front end loader. The loader is painted JD green, but has no decals, & I cannot find an ID plate.

1. Is there a special spot on a JD loader where an ID plate, or ID# would be “stamped”?
2. My goal is to find out the make, model, & get a manual.

I can take a photo if tht would help. A local JD salesman said it looked like a JD loader (but wasn’t sure), it does not have the current “quick attach
Thanks,

Scott, a picture would be a great help in trying to id your loader. There will likely be someone that will recognize what you have. Mike

I have a '66 4020 with a Deere 148 loader on it. The SN plate is riveted to the left side upright, facing forward. If yours is a Deere loader, there's a good chance its either a 148 or 158.

Dan is correct in where the ID plate should be located on a JD loader of that era.
