JD 4020 Hydraulic Problems

I have an early 60s JD 4020,changed out the hydraulic pump with a rebuild ($1200!!) last weekend and everything was working fine til now. Now pump sounds like it might be cavitating a bit, front end loader works but very very slowly, doesn"t appear pump providing enough pressure. Hydraulic fluid level is right to top line and don"t see any leaks. Steering, braking and transmission seem to work just fine. Thought there might be a leak on the suction side of the pump and she"s sucking air but looks O.K. Also changed out filters. Any other ideas?

Did you check stand-by pressure on newly installed pump?? It should be 2250 psi. Have you checked/cleaned the trans sump screen??
