JD 4020 Steering Column leaking?

Good morning all, Like the title says my steering column has developed a leak at the top between the column and the wheel. What are the causes and fixes for this issue? I might add its just a minuscule amount now but I doubt it'll heal itself.

I've read where upper ""newer style seal"" can be installed to control steering valve oil leakage. Back when I was employed by JD dealer when 4020's were new I was taught valve must be disassembled & seal lower in housing replaced to control leak.

Yep has to come apart I was dumb and broke a steering shaft once to get to that end it has to be split iirc it’s 4 bolts that hold the case together and it has to be put on a table to do it so pulled off the tractor.

Its a oring A3606R leaking oil at the lower end of the steering shaft. It will only get worse. Labor intense. The whole steering valve will have to come apart. Can use the tractor until it makes a big mess. Contact Tim S. he can repair and test this unit .

Thanks to all who answered, I suspected it wouldn't be as easy as popping of the wheel and replacing a seal there. My tractor season has ended here in Maine so this will be put on the back burner for now. I don't have a shop big enough to get the tractor inside so it'll be a springtime fix.
