I dont know what you would stand to gain . Its not an Joen center hydraulic pump so its not pumping oil all the time anyway

I've done it on various tractors to power an irrigation pump.... 2510, 300 industrial. It worked on them, as there was no need to run the hydraulics to actuate the PTO. It did save some fuel, and you didn't have the potential for something to start to leak, and then pump the transmission dry.

On the 4030, though, it is not an option. An early 4020 syncro, yes. Anything with hydrauliclly actuated PTO, no.

(quoted from post at 19:26:05 09/17/21) No! The PTO clutch is hydraulically actuated so just leave the pump & all the hydraulics in place.

The 4030 pto clutch is powered by trans pump therefore if Wilton desires to disable frt pump pto should operate fine. Easiest method to disable frt hyd pump is by turning destroking screw down.

yes you can delete it but you will need to let the charge oil return through the oil cooler circuit..

Technically if 4030 doesn't have a high pressure hyd leak then once stand-by pressure is reached frt hyd pump would stop pumping oil & only HP required would be to spin the hyd pump shaft which would have very small amount of resistance therefore hyd pump would require very minimal amount of HP if any at all.

Thanks to Tx Jim and Tim S. We learn something every day and we all appreciate the voices of experience.

No matter which you use, strongly consider some Murphy gauges. I used them on the irrigation well tractors. They will shut the tractor down if there is low oil pressure or high engine temp. You can also buy one to monitor crankcase oil level.
