JD 420W hydraulic

I have a question, I have a JD model 35 loader which I have mounted to a JD 420W. I am having trouble getting it to work with the 3 point. I think I probably have the hydraulic lines in the wrong place. Does anyone have a clear drawing or picture of which line goes where, or would the model 35 manual show that info?

Model 35 FEL parts catalog will not show hyd line attachment to tractor hyd system. Many yrs ago I added a single spool hyd control valve to a JD 420 & just inserted valve in line between hyd pump & 3pt hitch. Now most people advocate having a 3rd tank/bypass line(PBY)

OK thanks, yeah thats what I did I just tapped into the line from the pump. It works but not at the same time as the 3PH. Just seems like there should be a better way. I may have to live with the idea that that’s just the way it is.

Back in late 1950s thru 1969 Dad had a JD 420U with a loader on it with trip bucket and the IN of the loader valve was connected into the high pressure hydraulic line from the hydraulic pump and OUT went to the IN of the 3pt, so loader always had priority over 3pt. Make sure the loader hydraulic valve has a relief valve in it or the hydraulic pump can be damaged.
