Problem could be shift linkage or syncronizers. SGB(cab) or open station? Quad-range or synrco-range trans?

cab and is not the quad-range its the other one

Disconnect the shift rods and see if you can move the arms on the side of trans to attain neutral. It's possible the cab mounts have deteriorated causing the linkage to get out of correct adjustment.
