your pump (on the front of the engine) has a leaky seal and needs to be rebuilt. I'd suggest replacing all of the parts inside it.

Thanks for the reply. That is what I thought but needed a second opinion.

Any suggestions on where to go to have the pump rebuilt?

Are there replacement pumps for the 430 available>

I would suspect seal on pump shaft. Not much to it and nothing to fly into the corner of your shop when you take it apart. I replaced mine several years ago and probably also replaced the big orings but bearings were ok and not much else is replaceable other than another used Dubuque pump from someone who has those parts. Not real fun to get off, as I remember getting top hydraulic line aligned and hooked up was a challenge. I think it is easier to just remove front cover and radiator.

I'll warn you right now... I just rebuilt the hydraulic pump on my 420U about 6 months ago. When you order the end plate seals, T16572, they send you the wrong ones... The ones in my pump were about 3/16" thick. The ones Deere sells you are about 1/16".
So I reused mine. And if your pump is as worn as mine, the shaft, M1868T, had a groove worn in it from the o-ring. M1868T is no longer available. I just put it back together with a new o-ring and hoped for the best. I haven't found an alternative yet. It did slow the leak down, but didn't stop it completely. You will have to remove the hoods and pull the radiator. Not too bad a job. Check your radiator mounts while you have it apart.
