guys my 457 will start and put the net on the bale but it wont stop, it continues to put it on. always worked great before. after trying 5 or 6 bales I did notice a low voltage battery symbal on 1 bale. I check all connections and voltage all seem good. I use baby powder, cant seem to find any build up on cutter. Microswitch or actuator possibly? Not related but the twine is working ok.
thanks
Bob

Do you have monitor attached directly to battery bypassing tractors factory wiring harness? If not attached directly to battery please do so because low voltage to monitor can cause net application/cutting problems.

Tx Jim, yes and always have. + and-connected direct to battery then to a breaker on + side then to monitor connection/cable. I may do away with he breaker and install an inline fuse?

Have you been regularly greasing the 2 grease fittings on each end of the knife arm pivot? Notice only 1 fitting is shown in photo.

Service manual points to a low voltage problem. To check voltage select channel 019. Use extend key to extend twine actuator slightly. Retract twine arm until actuator stalls and read voltage on monitor. Should be 9.7v minimum.

Yes I do grease them and yes it is easy to miss them. Rockgrower I will give that a try. thank you both
