JD 4630 INFO

I just bought a JD 4630 open station tractor. Serial number 4630W 013009R and engine serial number 6404AR-12 417318R.Is this likely the original engine any other info based off those numbers would be great thanks nathan

It's a mid 1975.

They made 4630 open station"s? I saw one at a pull once with 20.8-42 rears, but questioned its originality in my own mind. Not many around here, too big for this area, a few 4520/4620"s.

A few years back you could go to the sale in Sikeston MO and see several 46-4840 type tractors at the sale with four post rops and sometimes a fender tractor. I don't know how well I would do on a 4840 without glass, with duals pulling tillage equipment in dusty conditions.
