I have a JD 520 only use is PTO,I noticed clutch got easier to engage each time i used it.Now just slips.Never been in that system.I thank you for any help with this problem. GP

If it suddenly became loose the lined clutch plates MAY have shed their paper facings.

This can happen over time as the paper and glue ages and is sped up if the seal between the PTO clutch housing and final drive area has failed allowing gear oil to enter the clutch area.

If you want to try adjusting it first, the procedure is in the Operator's Manual. If you don't have one you can download a copy fro FREE (in .pdf format) by going to https://techpubs.deere.com/en-US/Search/Equipment, select Part # / Keyword and enter OMR2051, then click the download arrow.
