JD 567 baler help

I have a 2005 JD 567 net wrap baler for several years now. I bale around 300 rolls a year for myself. I have 2 questions:

1. When my pickup is clogged, what is slipping? Most of the time, I can raise and lower my hyd pickup and the clog will go on thru but am I wearing something out? There are no belts on the pickup like a 535, only chains.

2. Theres an annoying sensor that goes off saying bale not wrapped. Last week I baled 50 rolls and it went off maybe 4 times. Yesterday, I baled 30 rolls and it prob went off 27 times out of the 30. Whats the deal? Most of time I get out and check the roll to be sure its wrapped but this is wearing out my old man knees. So far, its never not wrapped but the day will come. Ive verified continuity in the sensor and adjusted the wire on the sensor and even replaced the flapper spring. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Mega & Mega-wide pickups have a slip clutch on RH side behind front sprocket that powers PU. Early modes had grease fittings that if greased too frequently could cause premature slippage. If SC requires R&R they are high $$$$.

Is monitor electrical supply harness attached directly to tractor battery or starter solenoid?

On error code display the switch on RH end of NW attachment may need adjusting or possibly you have been overlooking to regularly grease a grease fitting on each end of NW attachment.

Thanks Jim,
Theres not a grease fitting at the pick up slip clutch and Ive only had it to slip a time or two. I just wasnt sure what was slipping when it did slip.

I put a shot of grease on both those ends each time before I bale so thats not an issue. My tractor is a 4250 with 6 volt system. The supply harness must be attached to the solenoid. What action tells this bale not wrapped sensor whether it did or didnt wrap? Does it matter that the edge to edge net wrap doesnt go all the way to that sensor side?

If sensor is adjusted properly, spring on trip flap may be weak or the rod of the trip may need oiled to move freely. And yes if the net going in does not hit the trip because it is to the left to far, the switch does not send the message to the monitor. Buy or make plugs to put in the ends of the roll of net to keep it centered

To my knowledge net wrap location on the bale doesn't affect monitor operation. Do you utilize net roll spacers? I suggest to check netwrap brake tension & possible netwrap belt adjustment. How many bales are showing on monitor?

Thanks guys for the help. Im at 5160 rolls on the monitor. Up until a year ago I used cover edge wrap. But the edge to edge works just fine for me with hay stored inside plus its easier to remove. I didnt buy the TamaTec plugs, I use tennis balls which keeps it centered just fine. But I did notice on the roll there now the net doesnt seem as wide feeding on the rubber roller.

IMHO tennis balls for spacers are fine & a ;ot cheaper than JD spacers. Please read & follow netwrap drive belt pulley shimming instructions in operators manual.

I was reviewing the net wrap brake information in the manual last night and will make adjustments today and also will flip the brake pad over. Thanks Jim and everyone else for the suggestions.
