what is the tag on the back of the flywheel that goes into the housing on the case

The oil slinger. Or the drive for the oil slinger. You neede to make sure the notch in the flywheel goes in the slinger afri.d the crank

will it matter if the tag is worn down a little it

I dont know what worn down a little bit means but as long as it drive s the slinger you should be Ok.
