I am back working on my JD 60 and today the wife and I fought it putting the front screens in. They didnt want to go, Now I find they are about 3/4 of an inch to long,We have to take them back out and cut them down,Has anyone else had this problem? I was told they will fit the 50 60 and 70

The grill screens for a model 60 are the same used for the 620,630,720 & 730. The screens for a model 50 are the same as the 520 & 530. I have been using the reproduction screens for over 15 years and never heard of any being to long. I don"t know what your supplier sent you but it sounds like you have the incorrect screens.

They are the right length now lol. I dont know why they were to long,I have a old set and compared the new ones to them and they are the same lenght. The ones that came out of this tractor are 3/4 shorter. A lot of stuff was different on this tractor, The guy that did the work on it is long gone now but I am thinking he has changed a lot of stuff, maybe took 2 tractors and made one. I got one side in now, going to quit for the night, Wife says its to cold out there to work any longer. Thanks for the reply

Wow, too cold to work out there? It was in the mid 90's here in North Texas today. HMMM Gonna be a hot one. They said just a bit west in Weatherford it was 100 today. JJ

It was comfortable for me but the wifes feet got cold,it was 50 and damp. Its supposed to be in the high 60s today and 70s tomorrow and 80s Monday. We got one side done and hope to finish it and get it on today. I have replaced screens before but this was a fight from the word "GO"
