We are overhauling our 6400, it had blown the head gasket....(on the way to my cousins shop 3 miles down the road, it locked up...found #1 had electrolisis and that was the piston that scored and seized) so it is getting a full overhaul with JD parts.
While Im at it....looking at this torsional damper on rear of motor....how many hours are those good for? Tractor has 72XX hours, is a 2wd cab loader tractor. New from Deere is $6XX.00. Not looking to spend extra just for fun...but not real enthused about pulling the motor in near future due to this thing failing.
Tractor s/n is 164045, and I believe damper p/n is AL174123, per deere parts pics that is what ours looks like.
