Jd 6415 will not run

Loading hay and 6415 died as if you turned key off. Getting fuel to pump. Will run on either. Anyone had this problem. Checked fuses etc.

Is fuel tank venting? Do you have good fuel flow from tank to inj pump. Have you checked for blown fuses? Operating a JD 4.5L(276 cid) engine with starter fluid could possibly break piston top rings & piston ring lands.

Is there a solenoid in injection pump? If so can you hear it clicking?

Tank is venting. Only used either to see if it would try. Very little either

Jim, does this tractor have the cold start switch that shorts and kills power to the injection pump?

It has a cold start solenoid on inj pump but not a sensor on thermostat housing similar to utility tractors.

Problem was wire going to back

Problem was wire going to solenoid on back pump was broke or pinched not getting enough voltage to open solenoid for fuel. Just ran new wire to pump not being able to find bad wire in harness. Run normal.
