JD 6620 combine problem

The tailings return plugged on my JD 6620 and when it was unplugged I discovered that the upper tailings auger was bad, not turning, and it must be removed. Since I have no idea how to remove this part I am seeking help here. If anyone has experience in replacing the auger I would appreciate any advice that you have to offer.

unbolt the bearing flanges and it should screw out unless the flighting is bad. It should come out without removing the tire but I think the sprocket may have to come off first for clearance. Be careful the auger may be real sharp.

Thanks everyone for your help. I took the combine to a repair shop where there are some real mechanics and they have it apart and are waiting for replacement parts. It seems that there was a lot of worn and damaged parts in the machine that they are replacing now that the machine is down. Thanks again!

Yes, I still have 100 acres of corn to be combined. My health kept me from doing much in October and then it began to rain. Now the ground is frozen and the combine is down. This farming is real fun and I do not understand why everyone doesn't participate.
