taking rock shaft housing off of 720 diesel, div 3 tractor. to look at it we are loosing alot of strength on the axel housing. thought of making a steel gurdle to go behind the diff cover to add support to the rear end when under a heavy pull. would like some opinions please. don't want to waste the time if not needed.

Take the rocksahft internals out and install just the bare housing. Plug the holes with wooden plugs.
