I have a 720 and it has recently started using hydro oil. could not figure out where it was going. checked my engine oil and i found out where it was going. any ideas where to start on this.

Hydraulic pump and engine are pretty close and personal.
This would be a good time to print off the parts diagram for the 720's hydraulic pump and govenor. From the JD web site.

Had same problem with my 730 and it was the pump seal. No to hard to install or expensive.
