Have a question about the block/coolant, transmission and hydraulic pump heater on a JD 7200 that we just purchased this summer. Tractor starts good down to 20 without any aid or with just using the electric heater with the key switch, but its getting colder and tried to plug it up for the first time yesterday and not getting any of it to work…cords and outlet are good. Wiring for all three heaters come together at a “module” with a test and reset button (pretty much a ground fault interrupter I think), indicator light and one plug. When I plug it up the little light flashes once and that’s it, pressing the reset button gets the same result - the light flashes once and nothing else.
Both the test and reset buttons are very worn and hard to push – the test button won’t move in hardly at all. Do you think the module has gone bad and this is the problem, or one of the heaters has gone bad and tripping it so nothing will work? How do I test to tell if it’s a heater problem or the module/GFI needs to be replaced? A new module is $222 so just wanted to check before I replaced it.
Thanks for any help.
