JD 790. 3 pt leak down.

3 pt hitch has started leaking down. Even when running with a load on it, it will leak down and have to "jump" back up. Anybody know why? Can it be fixed by a layman or is this something for a dealer? Thanks.

My JD4400 did that and JD had a defective control valve. Replaced the part, I installed on an 8 year old tractor. Bad design...mine had the jump since it was new, new valve no problem...it was not a recall but an individual complaint recall.
