JD 935 and 946 moco's on reasonably close auctions this week. No experience with either. Both look pretty good, new knives on the 935, 946 will need them soon. Both are impeller conditioners. Pros or cons to either? Wrong color for me, but...

946 is a good, durable machine. Don't look at a 956, though. Just as durable, but an odd number of turtles on the 956 means you will never throw an even windrow, and drying will suffer. BTDT

If you have any rocks, do not even consider the 935. It is a cast iron cutterbar and will crack very easily.
Also harder to work on if service is needed on .the internals of a segment
