JD 970 Help!

Hi all! Just bought a JD 970. All the lights work on the instrument panel, but the water temp and fuel gauge do not. Could someone point me to a good place to start troubleshooting. Thanks in advance!

Anybody??
I don't think the back of the gauges is very accessible, but can you check for power at the gauges? If no power, could there be a fuse in the circuit? (I have no "970" experience, but have worked on a number of 650's, 850's and 950's, all Yan Deeres cousins.)

If like the other models I have worked on, the wiring and fuseholder aren't any more robust than they need to be and there could be loose or corroded connections

IF the gauges DO have power, try grounding the connection at each sender. If the gauge then moves that would point to failed senders. (Seems unlikely that both senders or both gauges have failed, but stranger things have happened!)

Also, the gauges need to be grounded, sometimes rust or corrosion where sheet metal parts attach can interrupt the ground side, AGAIN not likely on your tractor but something to check/rule out.
