I have a question with model A. Since I have owned this tractor it had always run about half pressure oil on the indicator. I cleaned the filter out real good...the canister is tight and the bearings are good. Still only getting half pressure of oil. Was wondering if I could have any input/advice? Thanks

The old John Deers did not have alot of pressure in the first place. Half way up the gage is about normal. There is an adjustment on the junction block that the lines go too that can be adjusted to make it more or less pressure but keep in mind that excess pressure only is taking up power to pump oil that CANT go anywhere (pressure) If it shows about half way up the oil gage, I'de let it alone.

I agree completly with Kelly,if you have pressure half way on the guage that is fine. For the cost involved I would replace the oil filter, and oil with new. jmho

Your supposed to have 10psi hot. You can get by with 15, any more just pushes it past the crank slingers & makes a mess, & wastes horsepower.
