I haven't but I'm interested. How does that affect road gear? Can a barnyard mechanic (me) install it? Is it still available new or would I be poking around a bone yard?

They are not still being made but they come up for sale every now and then. I just sold one about a month ago. Might be more than a barnyard mechanic would want to tackle

I run a 1942 A and get by good. Yep B's are too slow.

I've taken my '42 A on a tractor ride with no problems.
I believe a '40 A would still be a 4 speed, which would be too slow. The '42 is a 6 speed. That is what you would want.

If you want your B, look for a Behlen Overdrive. You will get your faster speed. Easy toninstall.
