jd D block price

I bought a block and pistons with the rods with the head and manifold also, from a D that was still all good and oily (won't need bored). They were all just removed from a parts tractor, I paid $900 last year, not sure if that's to much but I was happy to get them.

Is there any reason why my current pistons and rods won't do? Im praying the head is still sound. But hoping I can get away with just a block and a new set of rings I think will also be necessary.

If your pistons are okay, you can reuse them, it just depends on the condition of the block you get if it needed bored or sleeved. If your pistons are still standard bore chances of finding a standard bore block that's still usable without machining is slim.
