JD fenders?

what tractor did these fenders come on. Owner says their stock for a 70 but I haven’t found a picture to verify that.

Those fenders were used on the earlier letter series tractors and then they changed to the clam shell type.
They changed on the G in 1950 to the clam shell type at serial number 41668 according to the parts manual.
The 70 series parts manual does not show that fender style, but if you like them go with it.
 
I have a set of those on my ”60”. They are not correct, but they serve me well.

It’s hard to make a silk purse out of a sows ear!
