JD L, LA Engine

I have a Hercules ZXB 4 cyl FH I was told L and or LA have the ZXB in them. I am looking for carburetor parts.

L and LA models have a two cylinder vertical cylinder flathead in them. Not a Hercules. I had an LA 40 some years ago. If I remember correctly I put a Ford 8n carb on it and it worked fine. That might not help you if youre trying to do an accurate restoration, but if you just want it to run, you could try it.

John Deere L had a hercules engines from serial number 621000-634840, they were NXA and NXB. This covers 1936-1941 models. At 640000 John Deere made there own engine.

You might take a REALLY novel path with this and tell us the model of the carb (or post a photo) and drop a few hints as to what specific parts you need.
