When checking the crank case dip stick, the oil level is rising. The oil colour is grayish. Does this indicate that anti freeze is getting in to the crank case? If so where would be the first place to check?

First check your hydraulic oil level. A failed pump seal will dump its oil into the engine.

If its not hydraulic fluid and it is antifreeze prolly need to pull the head first and see if gasket is blown.

I will likely leave this for a winter project. Would it be a good idea to drain all the fluids out of engine now.

I wouldn't. Any water in the engine oil will separate if it's been sitting a few weeks. Just loosen the drain plug enough for the water to all drip out and retighten. It's normal to have a little from condensation when it isn't used regularly. Do the same thing with the transmission and final drives as they will have a little water too.

Did you loosen the petcock on the hydraulic resivor to see if it was low?

If the head gasket is blown would there be bubbles in the radiator?
