Could you provide me with a picture or two from the manual on removing and installing my new to me modified #30 from a 49 M to a 48 M (JD, not Farmall)? I haven’t ordered the manuals yet but wanted to get a jump on getting it done.

Everything I do will be outside with minimal tools.
You can download and save a pdf of the entire manual for free from the John deere Ag & Turf bookstore
Use this link to go to the bookstore.

JD AG & Turf Bookstore

Click on Equipment Publications.

Click on Model Search and change it to Part # / Keywords

Type OMC24553 where it says Enter search terms.

Click search and the manual title will come up.

Click the download arrow at the right side of the box to download a free copy to your device. Open it then save it and you have a free copy.

A good bit of the info is written, not pictures so downloading the whole manuals is best.

Thank you Jim.ME

I saw that my 48 has the hydraulic fill tube under the seat. The 49&51 have it in front of the seat. Also, the 49 doesn’t have an adjustable front axle but the other two do. I have to do some measurements and might have to swap front axles also. The 48s previous owner thought it best to weld the front axles so they would no longer be adjustable.
