I am needing a set of the mounts that mount on the drawbar with the big steel pegs. Can't seem to find them anywhere around here. Anybody have any to sell???

JD has them as does several tractor supply outfits. shoupparts.com and sloanex.com You can make your own if you want them as solid or threaded pins from 1 9/16" pump shafting.

Those mounts are different for every Make and model tractor. You need to tell what make and model tractor you want them for but your best bet is to find a good operators manual with the mounting settup for all the tractors they made them for, also a parts manual, and with that you can figure out the style you need and then have them made.

Make a call out for [b:654c4848f0]David from Kansas[/b:654c4848f0] on this forum.

He has provided us with many parts for our #5 mowers.

Good fellow to deal with and he will send you photos of what he has to offer.

Hope this helps.

James, I've been looking for a way to connect with you. I've seen your posts about these sickle mowers. I recently bought a JD 350 and am having issues with it, namely adjusting the height. I live about 30 miles south of you, according to your info. would there be any way I could get a look at your setup? Be glad to give you my e-mail and phone #. Thanks

Dave, I'll bet judging by your handle, that you're from Ellis County.

Back in the early 80's, I was part of the start-up crew at Elk Roofing just North of Ennis.

Lots of good folks in Ennis; lived there for 3 years.

All of my equipment is at the farm in NE Texas, but I'll be glad to come down one afternoon/evening and help you with your mower.

You can call me at my office 972-860-8307; just leave a message.

James, Thanks for replying, and you're right Ellis county is where I'm from. My place is about 10 miles east of Ennis in the Telico community. It's Friday evening now, the first chance I've had to get online. I got your number and I'll give you a call the first part of the week. Have a good weekend .
