Hello everyone. I am wondering if anyone
can ID this JD 3 bottom plow I have. I am
leaning towards it being an F125 but
would like confirmation. I would like to
replace the bearings and I want to use
the correct style decals once I paint it,
so I would like to know for sure which
model it is. It looks like either one or
two of the cutter wheels have been
replaced as the center one has a
different style of bearings so that's
another thing i will have to figure out
to get the correct bearings, but I need
to get better pictures for that next time
I'm out at Dads, so one step at a time.

mrbtractors.com is the site of Tyler the Plow Guy. He has much info about JD plows on the site. He is also a very congenial guy and would visit with you on the phone if you have questions. I have purchased plow parts from him.

Spring release trip? Shear pin trip? no trip release? Some of plows look the same but number is type of trip bottom. If you go to Deeres parts lookup site here on the web you can bring up all the parts books for simular plows and looking at things like if bottom is a release type of bottom you can figure out what model you have.

Tyler the plow guy used to respond to all these John Deere plow inquiry?s? Probably to busy writing for magazines and doing videos for Steiner tractor maybe Steiner said no more fraternizing with the enemy

F120 from what I can see. Made 1961-1963
I don't have the time I used to for replying to ID'ing plows.
