The threaded rod and bottom yoke are both stipped out on my 620. I see that repro parts are ready available on the internet. I've not seen these new parts first hand and I am wondering about the quality as compared to originals. I don't want to purchase the repro then attach an implement have it strip out too. Would like some opinions with regard to accuracy and quality of the repro parts. Thanks, Carthel in Tn.

Ask the seller if it is produced to the original specs and strength.
I believe these were made well. But when you look at the design where the shaft goes on to the cast piece, it is easy to understand how, in dusty conditions, dirt would fall right down in to the threaded area. Add decades of use and this is why I think they eventually fail.
Chances are, you will not put near the hours on the new 3 point hitch parts.
Besides, had the farmers kept them pumped full of grease, dirt nor water could get in there.

I can't speak about lift arms but the one repo top link I've see did not have each end bored squarly, so when you turned the center to ajust it it bowed back and forth as you turned it. It worked and looked ok but the machining was not good quality.

I live near Steiner's and I have seen them in their showroom and can't tell them from new JD's
Nearly every restoration job will have one that has set up and they can be real nasty to get them loose again.
