JD160 transaxle problem

Transaxle problem in my jd160 with 5-speed Peerless model 840A . transaxle seems to jerk or jump when pulling a slight load. It feels like it is jumping gears. Seems to do it more in 1-2-3 gears more than 4-5 gears.
I pulled the transaxle and opened up, but can find nothing that would cause problem. Everything looks very good. Has anyone had this problem or have any ideas.

Have been told it is probably the shift keys. Will get new and install...will let you know outcome.

Got new shift keys installed. Test ran today....works great.
