JD3020 syncro hydraulic drain plug broken

Servicing the hydraulics on a 3020 synchro shift and the small drain plug is stuck tight. I tried some heat, but didn't think I should get it too hot. I have now twisted off the square head. I pulled the main plug and the filter and drained about 6 gallons, but I think it may have been low to start. I also cleaned the filter, which barely had any foreign material on it. How much should I worry about the small plug? Found an old post stating that very little drains from it if you drain large plug first.
Thanks,
John

If you decide to make it drain. drill in the center of it to drain that sump, then tap the hole for 1/8NPT and put a smaller plug in it. Have towels ready to clean the drill motor! Jim
