JD530 Rockshaft drop

Am looking to buy/borrow the "test fixture" (Fig JD1928A in Shop Manual, page 67) to diagnose hydraulic problem allowing my 3-Point to drop under load.

Have you tried new o-ring on the piston ? Is that test tool the plate to bolt on the control valve to test the relief settings ? If so I made one years ago.

Hello Mike,

The Tool in question is used to determine where the 'problem' is; either with the Piston O-rings or the Speed Control valve.

I obviously don't want to pull the Piston if that's not where the problem is.

Do you have a copy of the Manual that shows a picture of the Tool? If so, is that what you made? If so, can I borrow or buy it?

Otherwise I have contemplated making one myself.

I never checked my books to match that number up to see what it was.
The only tool I have is a surface groud flat plate with some holes in it and you bolt it onto the control valve assy. and you can pressure it up and check the relief valve settings and some other adjustments. For this one you have to completely tear the rockshaft housing off and unbolt this unit from the front of it. It will be much easier to just try an o-ring. I thought you could lift it up and then completely close off the rate of drop adjustment and see if it holds to test the o-ring ?
