JD60 rear wheel weights

I have an original set of rear wheel weights that came off a 1955 JD60. Can anybody lead me down the right path for finding information on them such as model#, value ($), etc? Thanks, David

How do you know they are originals?

A3404R should be casted in the weight and also serves as the part number. There are a couple different versions depending on age. They were improved as time passed.

They weigh 140# each.

They usuall sell for $120-150 per set. Some folks ask more. I dont think many of them get the outrageous price.

I have seen 4 versions of this weight that fits the rear cast centers of the Waterloo tractors.
There is a full circle, an oval, a "Z", and then a "Z" that was on the New Generation tractors.
They all weigh about the same as far as I know, 140# give or take.
Price is anywhere from free for the taking to an asking price of $160 per set.
I personaly would not pay much for them.
Sometimes you find a new to the sport "puller" , or a new to the hobby collector that will pay top price for them.

they avg. 150-200 a set. what is the center shape, should be oval, or a smaller z shape. the round center was for an R.

The rounds can also be used on the inside of the cast iron centers as not to be in the way for tread adjustments. Only one per side can be used (of the round center weights) if you want to roll the wheel all the way in.

I didnt check the parts catalog to see if they were factory offered on a 60 but yes, there are JD hubs to fit the R and P axles on a 60. They were more often found on 4010 tractors, but will work on the 60. They fit all sizes of tractors from a 60-730, 4000, 4010, 4030, to name a few.

M&W also made some hubs that bolted to the axles with "U" bolts, as well as clamp on duals for just about any tractor you could imagine.
