JDeere 530 LP timing

JD 530 LP ignition timing spec . Have electronic ignition and want to use timing light. Found timing marks and tdc which is before and after?

As you stand facing the flywheel, it turns counterclockwise. As you stand looking in the timing hole in the flywheel cover, the marks to the left of TDC are "before" and the marks to the right of TDC are "after"

thank you . what is 530 timing spec? Yesterday tractor do not list 530lp they show 60lp at 5 deg atdc

John Deere 530 LP using a power timing light. Twenty degrees BTDC at 1375 RPM or full throttle.

you say 1375 rpm my 530 JD LP does not have a tach . Have a snapon tach and dwell but for 8 &6 cylinder engines. Is there a tach for 2 cylinders to hook up like my snap on?

Push the throttle lever full forward, full throttle. This would be what you want for speed to check timing. That would be 20

i dont now rpm my tractor did not come with tach . Need to know how to read rpm.

See if you can find a hand tach. No electric needed. Use the dimple on the crankshaft at the flywheel or at the pulley. Running tractor will show its RPM.

what is the high idle on 530 lp john deere mine is 1250 rpm. i got rpm meter put reflector tape on clutch pully. right or wrong.
