Jet hydraulic press?

Anybody have or know anyone with a Jet hydraulic press and impressions? Might buy a 15 ton next time they have a sale. Bought a drill press from them last year, freight to my shop was even included. Chuck is a little big but works well.

Have found finding American made hydraulic presses at a decent price is almost impossible.

Is this the one?

If so, I would be a little afraid of it. A lot of bells and whistles, looks good, and convenient to use, but if something goes wrong, it's not going to be easy to find parts, if any available.

I would prefer a simpler design. One with a replaceable bottle jack. One with more structure.

Jet has been around for 50 years, still in business, lots of dealers- guess I don't understand your comment about being hard to find parts. I sure wouldn't be afraid of their stuff, if I could afford it.

I have a Jet 18" Band saw and a 36" wood Lathe I like them both I wouldn't be afraid of it.

I could very well be wrong.

Just basing my experience on past attempts to find parts for imported equipment. Sometimes it leads to a dead end.

Jet is a well established company though.

I have a JET 6" horizontal band saw that I bought at least 15 years ago. I can still get parts for it (the new ones are still look like the very the same design as mine).

I have a shop full of Jet stuff. No press though. Band saw, table saw, and drill press. All high quality.
