I am eyeing this purdy lil tractor. it is listed as a Jim Dandy. no year, no real info at all. comes with several garden type implements. plows, ect. any info and maybe what I should give as a reasonable price would be appreciated. I know nothing about them. also, it is worth mentioning. apparently they "disassembled it" for painting they never did. so I guess if I buy it I will have to figure out how to put it back together. hopefully "disassembled" just means body panels, but idk.

He wants 1600. But i saw 3 others in good condition for 1000. Just not local. It does have implements, but its also "dismantled".

I saw that advertised too, that is a very fair asking price with the duals and that equipment. I would run, not walk. and take a look at it. Hopefully it will still start and run and you can make sure that the trans, etc is in good shape.

Its a 1974 or newer there is a SN tag on the grill with the SN the model year can be determined, are picture the tractor that s for sale or is that another? $1600 is top dollar in my opinion a lot depends on what engine hp is it a single or dual transmission model

He says it is a 14hp Kohler. No mention of transmission.

Also known as "Economy" around here. My brother has one and loves it. Simple and easy to work on!

They were called "Power King" too.

I did some Googling and found that there were some "Economy" models called "Power King". "Jim Dandy" was another model.

In 1997 "Power King" became the name of all tractors.

"Economy tractors were built by Engineering Products Company (EPCO) of Wisconsin. Production began at the end of World War II. Economy tractors were garden-type tractors assembled from off-the-shelf components. Economy tractors evolved as suburban lawn-and-garden tractor market rose. The Economy brand name was dropped in 1977 in favor of the Power King brand, which continued to the late 1990s."

Well, he wont go lower than 1400. In its current state, i am out. Its sad really. Sweet lil tractor. I really hope it gets restored and not salvaged. Thank you everyone for your comments.

Well it has hydraulics which is a plus, its a single transmission model 14 hp is a plus and the duals plus the attachments, I'd say 1150 to 1300 dollars 14 would be good if it wasn't all apart
