John Deere 1010 air bath filter

I have a John Deere 1010 and have no knowledge about an oil bath filter.Any advice on how to check oil level ,cleaning and disassembly would be greatly appreciated

Oil bath air cleaners are quite simple. The service procedure is to remove the oil cup, dump the oil and clean the cup with naptha or parts cleaner. Then fill wth new oil up to the "oil level" line. The upper housing of the oil cleaner does not require regular service but may need a thorough cleaning with hot, soapy water or a powerwash, best done by removing the unit.
