I was employed at JD dealership several years before I determined that early model 1020 & 2020 tractors manufactured for sales in N America had open-center power steering with a gear pump mounted to RH front of the engine.

Yes, tight on the block under the water pump and alternator. Is it gear driven off the crank?

It is driven off the Camshaft upper idler gear, I believe.
