Hi , I was working on putting a front loader on my (1020)tractor when I saw this. any ideas of what it is and what parts i may need? I will send updated pics saturated after I remove the wheel to see whats going on. I also would like to know can I flip the rear wheel with leaving what i think are weights? Thanks

Rim can be reversed with wheel weights in place but weights must be removed to reverse wheel centers. Area encircled in red appears to be axle seal leaking. Axle must be removed from axle housing to replace inner seal to stop leak.

That puddle underneath the tractor isn't from the axle seal leak. It's the load shaft at the three point arm.

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the photos looks like it an all day event sis you have to drain the hydraulic fluid?
Yes, you have to drain the fluid from the transmission and differential. You will be into the brake on that side as well.

Do you have the correct service manual for your 1020? It will give you info you need on doing the project. SM2071 is the manual for the Dubuque 1020. TM4286 is the manual for the later Mannheim ones.
