john deere 110

Go to your local friendly NAPA store. Find the old guy who knows how to read a book, most likely not in computer. Look in the section of the book marked ATTACHMENTS. You need to have the model number of the mower deck.

Get your belts from mother deere or industral belts. NAPA belts will last as long as it takes you to put them on.

That variable speed drive, variator, is very picky about belts. Give yourself a head start, use only belts from Deere there, and always replace them as a pair.

John Deere always had decent prices on their belts. They also hardly ever use anything os standard size so finding the right ones elsewhere is not likely.
Several different deck belts for those. Do yourself a favor if your serial tags are still there write all the numbers down, take any old belts along with you and go to a JD dealer.

According to the parts books, a 1974 JD 110 (this is NOT a L110) originally would have come with a 39 or a 47 inch mower deck. If you have the original 47 inch deck, the blade to blade part # is M41960...$31.64. The deck drive belt has 3 different choices depending on the serial # of the tractor and the mower deck. If someone has installed a newer 48 inch deck, you will probably have to measure and match the belts unless the belts have part #'s on them.
Hope this helps a little.
