John Deere 1250 finger pickup

Will a 1250 with finger pickup plant soybeans? What do I need to do to make it possible? Couldn't really find a solid answer on Google.

No, the figure pickup will not plant beans close enough. However there is a cup Arrangement on the side for planting beans. You should order a manual. It would give you that information and more. Why chance and expensive crop over a $40 book.

After reading the book I have, I apparently had passed over the page that talked about the soybean cups. I believe I found the correct pages

If I'm not mistaken, you pop the seed box off, and turn the plate on the underside, closing the path to the fingers, and diverting it to the "cups". One side of the cups is for soybeans and the other is for sorghum (?)

You then change your chains around according to speed and population wanted

If I am not mistaken you cannot install Kinze bean meters or
Deere Radial bean meters in a 1250 style seed box. The seed
cups are a controlled spill like a grain drill. Actually worse in
my experience. But you can get by.
