John Deere 15 Flail chopper

My grandpa has an old Deere 15 flail chopper. I got to thinking and remembered something about the the 16 flail choppers being made by New Holland. I was wondering if this was the case with the 15s. If they were built by New Holland, what model crosses over to the Deere machine?

The 15 is a different machine than than 15A that is a 5' machine and the 16A is a 6' machine. Oldest was a 10 and same 5' as a 15. I had a 10 for years. Never heard of any of them built by anybody except Deere.
