John Deere 2010 crawler

Can somebody tell me where to find the serial# on a track loader, it is supposed to be a 2010. There is a plate that says model 820, made in Canada, that I assume is for the loader. I got service and parts books with it but not the operators manual. How does this machine compare size wise to newer models?

Yes, 820 is the loader assembly. 2010 serial # is supposed to be on the engine, riveted-on metal plate. Same with the 1010s.

I"ve been told that on 2010 crawlers with serial numbers below 42000, the number is on the right front of the engine. On crawlers 42000+, the serial number is on the left bellhousing. My 2010 crawler (42xxx) has the serial number on the bellhousing.
