John Deere 2150 engine will not crank

I need some help with my jd 2150. When i try to start the tractor the gauges come on but engine will not crank. I replaced the starter solenoid but gthe problem persists.i can arc it acsross the back of starter and the engine cranks no problem. just trying to see if anybody might have some suggestions for me as i am at my wits end. Thanks!

my 2250 had the same problem I ran a new wire from the ignition switch to starter to fix the problem must have been a bad spot in the old wire somewhere

there a safety start switch located top of transmission left top side about under your left foot. i think i would check it . a single wire does work,, but also you or someone eles is lible to get run over from being able to start it in gear, just a sugestion.......

It could be a bad relay. Also check the neutral switch with a test light. Do not bypass the neutral switch = very dangerous. Let us know what you find.

Have 2 2150's and both have had the same problem. I ended up running a new wire from the back of the ignition switch to the solenoid (small start post) and fixed them both. On examining where the wire went bad I found there is a bulkhead type connector with about 12 wires right below the battery box and power would not go from the male to female side. Most likely due to corrosion from a leaky battery at some time
